| Comments: | Is America a Christian Nation? The U.S. Constitution is a secular document. It begins, "We the people," and contains no mention of "God" or "Christianity." Its only references to religion are exclusionary, such as, "no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust" (Art. VI), and "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" (First Amendment). The presidential oath of office, the only oath detailed in the Constitution, does not contain the phrase "so help me God" or any requirement to swear on a bible (Art. II, Sec. 1, Clause 8). If we are a Christian nation, why doesn't our Constitution say so? In 1797 America made a treaty with Tripoli, declaring that "the government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion." This reassurance to Islam was written under Washington's presidency, and approved by the Senate under John Adams. The First Ame |

| Comments: | I'm curious why y'all think that the lottery is thievery. All the bible passages you cite against the lottery have to do with thievery and coveting, not gambling. One of y'all needs to go to school for theology so you can properly interpret these things for yourselves instead of letting somebody else do it for you. |

| Comments: | I'd just like to state for the record for all the Lottery freaks out there that I was a millionaire for several years and it is a royal pain in the neck. People call you all day trying to sell you stuff. People come to your house all night trying to rip you off. All day, and all night, all year long. It gets old. It just isn't worth it. I had to carry TWO guns at all times to protect myself. 1 Tim 6:6 But godliness is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment. Richness is not measured by what you have; it comes from who you are in Christ Jesus. If you have NOT given your life to Christ yet, do it now. I am a lot happier with Christ NOW than I was with $7,500,000 THEN. |

| Comments: | God bless you all!!! I recently drove from here to New Orleans and back and it was =such= a blessing to see those signs everywhere!!!!!!!!! I did a search on Google and your site popped right up like the morning sun. I have you book marked now. My wife of 16 years passed away last spring of cancer and left me with children 12, 10 and 7. She was a good Christian woman, had been a missionary, saved since age 4, and married a rotten old sinner like me from New Orleans. I got saved at age 22 and met her one night after church at Shoneys, she was a preachers daughter. I am out here completely alone with these kids on a tiny island in the middle of nowhere and looking for ways to make =waves= for the LORD! Bless God, my Mother =also= died of cancer 2 years ago at 58, and I am now financially secure due to her generosity in knowing that my wife would also soon die of cancer, so I'm retired at 43 and raising my kids the best I can. You will hear from my stupid comp |

| Comments: | I worked for a convientant store for two months. These are things that I saw wrong with the lottery.
1. People would buy things with foodstamps just over the dollar amount to get almost a dollar in change to buy lottery tickets. 2. Not the store manager, but the regional supervisior was likely doing this. All the stores had shortages. It is likely the boss was doing it. But it was known that he was buying $300 or more per day in lottery tickets. And then he claimed the money he had came from lottery winnings. 3. Most customers prefured the lottery games that paid under $600 for winnings. Here are some reasons. After $600 you have to pay taxes on it. Also the chances of winnings were greater for the small winnings amounts. 4. Theft of instant tickets was a probelm. Some solutions without making gambling illegal. One solution was already done. You know longer get change for foodstamps. Instead you have a foodstamp card that works simular to a bank or credit card. But this |

| Comments: | To whom it may concern, While I support your cause, I find it a little disturbing that a website that essentially discourages gambling, would allow 'pop-up' advertisements of 'Online Casino Gambling' to appear on the website. I think at least this should be arranged so that it doesn't happen in the future. Those who want to get off gambling addictions, regularly try to visit such sites as yours and to have a temptation 'pop-up' when they least expect it, can be very distressing to those who are already finding it tough. Yours Sincerely, Tim Santamaria. |

| Comments: | What a pack of lies and falsehoods, if you are going to be against something like the lottery at least take the time to learn something true about the enemy. I find it hard to believe you acomplish anything with this hog wash. You don't even know your bible, good grief someone needs to take a bucket of clean water and wash your brain clean of nonsense. |
